2nd Chapter Of Acts was a Christian gospel act from the US. The trio was formed in 1973, and consisted of Annie Herring, Nelly Greisen and Matthew Ward. The band was extremely popular during the 1970's, and in 1972 released their debut single entitled "Jesus Is" on MGM. In 1974 2nd Chapter Of Acts released their debut album "With Footnotes", which featured their most popular track "Easter Song". The band released several more LP's and continued to tour almost non-stop until splitting in 1988. Several "best of" LP's have since been issued, including 2004's "Encores".
