Buddy Miller

While still attending high school, Buddy Miller cut his teeth playing upright acoustic bass for various bluegrass bands.
When Miller first moved to New York City in the early 1970s, a young Shawn Colvin sang for one of his old folk bands.
Miller played guitar for Jim Lauderdale's and Emmylou Harris' bands long before stepping out to do his own thing.
