Designed to be a German-French art project, KMFDM started their musical career in 1984 with debut "Opium" and doing a big performance in Paris. The raw industrial metal and their bizarre appearances made the band internationally known in 1990 with the album "Naïve". Alongside bands like Die Krupps or Atari Teenage Riot, KMFDM were welcome live guests especially in the US where they were seen as a European scurrility. After splitting in 1999, they reunited again in 2002 with the "Attak" album and have since released the much rougher "WWIII".
