Lovett's country outsider status gets a nod on "Nashville," but this is his toughest, most honky tonkin' CD in years. While infuriating but shapely Texans are humorously celebrated on the title tune and "San Antonio Girl," Lovett ends with two upbeat gospel songs that show he loves the sacred even more than the profane.
