Steve Forbert
Tagged as the new Bob Dylan, Steve Forbert (born in Meridian, MS, USA in 1955) releases his socio-critical debut "Alive On Arrival" as a 23-year old man in 1978. Already his second work "Jackrabbit Slim" proves the critics to be right, musically speaking. Not coming close to duplicating Dylan's success, Forbert starts a second dash in 1988 on the Garry Talent (E Street Band/Springsteen) produced "Streets of This Town". Still a critics' darling, he goes on to record a series of records before releasing the purist "Any Old Time" in 2002.
