The Real Kids

Boston's Real Kids blurred the line between Punk and Power Pop with their Eddie Cochran-inspired rock 'n' roll.
Frontman John Felice originally played in the Modern Lovers. He left the band one week before they recorded their debut LP.
After the Real Kids' self-titled debut LP flopped (despite being a masterpiece), Felice worked as a Ramones roadie.
The Real Kids regrouped in 1998 to an enthusiastic response that has continued into the next decade.
The Real Kids were originally called the Kids; they changed their name after learning of a European band with the same name.
