Robert Johnson, king of the Delta blues, has been performing as a guitarist and harmonica player since the beginning 30's. Born the 8th of May, 1911 in Hazlehurst, MS, USA, he landed his first radio hit in '36 with "Terraplane Blues". Johnson started a lengthy tour but was poisoned by a jealous spouse after a gig in 1938. It took mankind until 1966 and 1970 to release the recordings "King of Delta Blues", which posthumously made him a legend. The reissue from 1990 became a classic and in 2003 he was part of "Martin Scorsese presents The Blues".
