10,000 Maniacs
Pop-folk group from Jamestown, N.Y., helped popularize the Adult Alternative genre of the early '90s.
Formerly led by Natalie Merchant, 10,000 Maniacs now feature a more Celtic-influenced sound with vocalist Mary Ramsey.
The band was named after the 1964 horror flick "2,000 Maniacs."
